ww reimagined logo

Points list of popular Weight Watcher foods: If you're on WW (or thinking about joining?) you know that the SmartPoints system is central to the success of the FreeStyle Program. (How does FreeStyle work?) It's similar to the old WW point system, "PointsPlus," but now includes about 200 healthy "free," zero-point foods including fruits and vegetables.

With WW: Weight Watchers Reimagined, every food is assigned a point value based on four criteria: calories, protein, sugar, and saturated fat. There's no counting calories with WW, and as long as you stay within your daily points budget, you should be losing weight. (It's just simple math + science!)

Here's a free list of the most-tracked Weight Watchers foods and their points in alphabetical order. (often listed like: "eggs, scrambled" or "wine, red")

As you can see from our list of the most tracked foods on the Weight Watchers app, most all fruits and non-starchy vegetables cost you zero points. That's WW's way of telling you to eat a plethora of them, and they are a great alternative to bad carbs when you crave something sweet.

This WW points list is just the most popular foods tracked on Weight Watchers, but there are thousands more (including the point values of menu items from popular restaurants) on the app if you're a member of Weight Watchers:

WW Points List: Proteins

Weight Watchers encourages you to eat lots of proteins, but mostly "lean proteins." That means healthy proteins like lean grilled chicken, pork, and beef will usually only cost you a few points.

Fresh seafood is great for your daily SmartPoints budget with 3 oz. of shrimp, tilapia, tuna steak, and lobster only costing you about 1 point each. Holy mackerel!

There are even zero-point proteins like grilled salmon and egg whites that you should include in your diet.

Now, when you talk about meat with more saturated fat like hot dogs (6 SmartPoints), burgers, bacon, fatty beef cuts, and sausage (8+ SmartPoints), you're going to have to pony up some points. So, it's a good idea to look for smart alternatives to these budget-busting proteins.

For example, since bacon costs you 5 points, consider substituting turkey bacon, which is worth 3 Smart Points.

Weight Watchers Points List: Fats & Oil

Did you know that a single tablespoon of butter will cost you 5 SmartPoints? That's more points than an entire healthy meal or snack!

Fats have a high density of calories, and therefore cost you more points. Surprisingly, on the WW points list, this includes nuts, nut butters, and even avocados. When you have the option, save WW points by choosing a low-fat version of fatty favorites like butter, mayo, cheese, milk, and yogurt. (Choose Greek yogurt)

One of the best substitutions you can make is to get vegetable oil out of your diet and make a habit of using extra-virgin olive oil instead.

Weight Watchers Points List: Sweets & Desserts

There are no forbidden foods on Weight Watchers, but if you want the diet to work consider most sweets to be an occasional treat or reward.

Because a full-size chocolate bar is 12 WW SmartPoints, and a 1/2 cup of ice cream is 7+ points, it makes sense to choose a low-fat option or smaller portion when available.

Worst dessert points-bomb? Probably a piece of iced chocolate cake. At 22+ WW points per slice, it's not a smart choice unless it's your birthday.

Also, beware navigating the menu of restaurants like Starbucks, as there are plenty of WW points-pitfalls!

Quick Warning About WW Points in Fast Food (Yikes!)

Think of fast food is a mortal enemy of the Weight Watchers points list. Sure, some restaurants have salads on the menu, but you should consider every trip to a fast food restaurant an indulgence.

*Related: See How McDonalds portion sizes have grown

In case you don't believe me, consider that a value meal with a burger, fries, and soda can ring-up 30+ points quickly. (Maybe that's why it's called, "fast food?") Pizza is another WW points-bomb and can also ring up a dizzying number of Smart Points.

Full Weight Watchers Points List?

Are you looking for a full list of SmartPoints values for every food? There isn't a dependable (free) online list of all of the thousands of foods and drinks that you can track on Weight Watchers because it's too cumbersome to list and maintain online. The best way to see point values for foods is within the Weight Watchers app, which is a central part of the diet.

We also created a Weight Watchers points calculator to help you estimate both the FreeStyle Smart Points and Points Plus (old system) in any food based on the nutritional facts.

If you've already joined WW, then that list is right at your fingertips on your phone once you download the app. If you haven't joined yet, we have a couple of great WW coupons to save up to 50% when you join!

Towel Rails & Rings

Towel Rails & Rings Buyers Guide

Whether showering, bathing or washing it is essential to have a towel hanging close to hand. We have hundreds of different types of rails and rings for you to choose from.

It's important to think about positioning in your new bathroom as it could make or break your room. There are lots of different options to choose from. Having them conveniently situated in the right places will ensure a smooth experience.

We offer a wide variety of different options for towel rails and racks so there is something to suit every taste. You can choose something purely functional or opt for a design with a little more detailing.

When paired with some tastefully chosen bath towels. The latter can really add something special to a bathroom and is a great way to inject a little colour and extra styling. This is particularly useful in smaller bathrooms where there perhaps isn't room for lots of décor-only features.

What Types Of Towel Rails Are Available?

Firstly, we are going to take a look at the different types of towel rails available and how each might best be used.

Single rail

A single rail can look great in the en suite to a guest bedroom or perhaps situated right by the sink for storing a face towel. They are fantastic options for smaller bathrooms as they don't take up too much space.

Double or multi rail

You might want to choose a double rail for a family bathroom, as here you can store two or more larger towels. It can also be a nice feature to use one of these in a guest bathroom and arrange their whole selection of new towels on the rail. Start with a larger bath sheet at the bottom, then a face towel, a hand towel and a flannel. This looks neat and professional and could even be used in a hotel or guest house.

Towel racks

Towel racks are most commonly seen at the end of the bath or an over-bath shower set up. This is great as it means you always have a towel to hand, avoiding that mad dash for one that we discussed above!

You can choose to either just store a few towels on the rack for immediate use or even keep all your clean towels here, especially if you live alone. We would recommend double-checking that your shower or bath taps won't splash the towels though, prior to fitting the rack.

The last thing you want is to have your beautiful new towel rack fixed on the wall. Then to discover your lovely fluffy towels get soggy while you are bathing!

It might just be a case of fitting it a little higher or lower but is worth testing before it's too late. The added bonus of a towel rack is that with most designs you have the flexibility of using the bars as a towel rail too. Meaning you can store a towel on top, then hang it dry once used.

Towel rings

Towel rings are most commonly used for holding the hand towel next to the sink, both in bathrooms and single toilets. It is handy to have these situated right by the sink for convenience but they can be fixed anywhere.

Although we refer to them as towel rings. They actually come in lots of different shapes and designs, including squares, rectangles and C-shape units.

Towel holders

These often serve a similar function to the towel rings. But usually comprise of a single bar sticking out at a right angle from the wall and a towel can be hungover. These often look a little more casual, with the towel simply hanging over the end, and might be a good option to consider in a children's bathroom.

Brands of towel rails and rings

Hansgrohe

hansgrohe is a German manufacturer that focuses on the technology behind good design. Giving you innovative premium products. We are currently stocking their Montreux towel hanger. This is an incredibly simple piece yet just oozes style and would go well in almost any bathroom.

AXOR Montreux Single Towel Rail

Imperial

Whereas the brands above offer extremely simple designs. Imperial is a fantastic choice if you want something with a little more detailing.

The ceramic caps on this Rondine wall mounted rail offer a very versatile choice. You can choose whether to have a chrome, gold or nickel coloured bar. If you still want to stick with something that is 100% metal finished, you might want to look at the Istia model.

Again, this can be ordered in chrome, gold or nickel but is made unique by the wall mount. Imperial also offers a towel rain in the same Istia design and the two together would make a nice set.

Keuco

Keuco has been continuously expanding its range of products since the company was formed in 1953 and it really shows.

If you like cutting edge modern home decor then we think you will love the Keuco pieces we currently have in stock. The Moll towel ring is one of our favourites, with its thicker frame and downward-facing D shape. It sits fairly flat to the wall compared to some other pieces. Making it a good option again for smaller bathrooms or simply for those who like design that really blends into the bathroom.

The Plan towel holder is also a really fantastic space-saving piece. As its two swivelling arms mean you can hang one or two dry towels close together, then open the arms for greater airing when you need to dry damp towels. This makes for a highly convenient towel holder, particularly for busy households when you need space and efficiency.

Keuco Moll Towel Ring 240mm

Inda

Inda began producing brassware bathroom products in 1944 and have gone from strength to strength ever since! This Italian company is driven by pure determination in the constantly evolving home living industry.

Inda produces some very versatile towel racks, such as the Hotellerie 62 model. As we mentioned above, you can use these racks either to stack towels on top or equally well to hang towels from - or a mixture of both! As the name suggests, this would be a good model to consider if you are outfitting a guesthouse or hotel.

Inda has several different designs of the rack in their Hotellerie range so there are plenty of options to choose from. Another favourite is the Touch Double Arm rail, which is a space-saving choice with a lovely simple finish.

Crosswater

Crosswater is one of our approved sellers. It is at a slightly lower price point than some of the other options we have discussed. However, they offer some beautiful but affordable pieces for your bathroom.

From Crosswater, comes the MPRO collection. This is made up of four finishes. Chrome, Brushed Brass, Matt Black and Brushed Steel. There are accessories to match all across your new bathroom, which can be found here.

Crosswater MPRO Brushed Brass Toilet Roll Holder

Grohe

Grohe offers very minimal and sleek designs. They would fit perfectly with any modern designs. Particularly in a smaller bathroom where space is at a premium and you don't want anything too fussy cluttering up space.

The Allure towel ring, which has an unusual and eye-catching rectangular shape whilst still retaining a minimal effect.

For something even simpler, you really can't go wrong with the Grohe Essentials range. Which represents exceptionally good value for money.

Burlington

Burlington describes their designs as 'classically styled bathrooms' and we could not agree more.

We currently have in stock the three essentials from Burlington: Toilet roll holder without cover, Spire toilet roll holder and a wall-mounted WC roll holder. These chrome fittings would look lovelily fitted together in a bathroom as a coordinating set.

Alternatively, each piece is subtle enough that it could work well to complement other more detailed pieces that you may have chosen.

If you find yourself really taken with the range. You might want to take a look at the other bathroom accessories from Burlington, such as their mounted roll holder or soap dish.

Angie Keyes CKBD

This Condo has been in the family since it was first built. And it was in desperate need of being renovated. The kitchen was isolated from the rest of the condo. The laundry space was an old pantry that was converted. We needed to open up the kitchen to living space to make the space feel larger. By changing the entrance to the first guest bedroom and turn in a den with a wonderful walk in owners closet. Then we removed the old owners closet, adding that space to the guest bath to allow us to make the shower bigger. In addition giving the vanity more space. The rest of the condo was updated. The master bath again was tight, but by removing walls and changing door swings we were able to make it functional and beautiful all that the same time.

Stunning Kitchen and Bathroom Remodel in Old Town Alexandria, VA

Stunning Kitchen and Bathroom Remodel in Old Town Alexandria, VA

Michael Nash Design, Build & Homes

This four-story townhome in the heart of old town Alexandria, was recently purchased by a family of four. The outdated galley kitchen with confined spaces, lack of powder room on main level, dropped down ceiling, partition walls, small bathrooms, and the main level laundry were a few of the deficiencies this family wanted to resolve before moving in. Starting with the top floor, we converted a small bedroom into a master suite, which has an outdoor deck with beautiful view of old town. We reconfigured the space to create a walk-in closet and another separate closet. We took some space from the old closet and enlarged the master bath to include a bathtub and a walk-in shower. Double floating vanities and hidden toilet space were also added. The addition of lighting and glass transoms allows light into staircase leading to the lower level. On the third level is the perfect space for a girl's bedroom. A new bathroom with walk-in shower and added space from hallway makes it possible to share this bathroom. A stackable laundry space was added to the hallway, a few steps away from a new study with built in bookcase, French doors, and matching hardwood floors. The main level was totally revamped. The walls were taken down, floors got built up to add extra insulation, new wide plank hardwood installed throughout, ceiling raised, and a new HVAC was added for three levels. The storage closet under the steps was converted to a main level powder room, by relocating the electrical panel. The new kitchen includes a large island with new plumbing for sink, dishwasher, and lots of storage placed in the center of this open kitchen. The south wall is complete with floor to ceiling cabinetry including a home for a new cooktop and stainless-steel range hood, covered with glass tile backsplash. The dining room wall was taken down to combine the adjacent area with kitchen. The kitchen includes butler style cabinetry, wine fridge and glass cabinets for display. The old living room fireplace was torn down and revamped with a gas fireplace wrapped in stone. Built-ins added on both ends of the living room gives floor to ceiling space provides ample display space for art. Plenty of lighting fixtures such as led lights, sconces and ceiling fans make this an immaculate remodel. We added brick veneer on east wall to replicate the historic old character of old town homes. The open floor plan with seamless wood floor and central kitchen has added warmth and with a desirable entertaining space.

Coastal Retreat

Angie Keyes CKBD

This Project was so fun, the client was a dream to work with. So open to new ideas. Since this is on a canal the coastal theme was prefect for the client. We gutted both bathrooms. The master bath was a complete waste of space, a huge tub took much of the room. So we removed that and shower which was all strange angles. By combining the tub and shower into a wet room we were able to do 2 large separate vanities and still had room to space. The guest bath received a new coastal look as well which included a better functioning shower.
